Host is not in the Server List

This message might be seen when attempting to connect via a Thin Client. Typically, it means exactly what it says: the host to which you are attempting to connect is not part of the server list of available hosts. But there are a number of reasons why that might be the case.

Check all the following:

  1. Are you using a URL or IP address that is included in the server list?
If not, the easiest fix is to use one that is. But perhaps the server list is missing an address that should have been configured.
  2. Are you using a reverse proxy and a version of VTScada older than 12.1.27?
If so, there is a fix for this in newer versions of VTScada. The solution is to upgrade.
  3. Are the servers using a Network Address Translation table (NAT)?
VTScada is not compatible with Network Address Translation tables.
