PLC Alarm Control Widget

Relevant only to the PLC Alarm Tag. Allows limited configuration of the PLC alarm associated with the linked tag.

Note that the properties dialog of the PLC Alarm tag, Configuration tab, a link to a dialog containing several of these widgets. Configuration can be done either using the dialog available from within the PLC Alarm tag, or this widget can be drawn on a page, allowing operators to update any of the available properties.

Output controls are disabled if the driver cannot communicate with the device.

When drawn on a page, changes made using this widget will prompt, "Are you sure?". This is not the case for the widget embedded in the PLC Alarm tag's configuration panel.

 

The properties dialog for the PLC Alarm Control Widget:

Alarm Configuration Setting

Select which property is to be controlled by this widget. May be any of:

  • Disable
  • Setpoint
  • Priority
  • Deadband
  • Delay

Digits After Decimal

Where relevant, sets the number of digits to be displayed in the property field. (Does not apply to Disable or Priority.)

Compact View

When selected, only the value field is shown in the widget.

Show Driver Status

If selected, the driver's current status is shown below the property. It is helpful to know this when attempting to set a property so that operators do not spend time attempting to configure drivers that are in an error condition.

Confirmation Dialog

Defaults to selected. Changes require confirmation.

Disable Options

Disable selected operator-interaction features of this widget.
