Uninstall VTScada
Before uninstalling a licensed copy of VTScada, you must deactivate the license from the workstation.
You will not be able to do so after uninstalling.
Deactivation
Once activated, a license for VTScada 12.1 or later is associated with the computer it is activated on. To move your license to another computer, you must deactivate it on the first before activating it elsewhere but do not deactivate until the application is installed and running on the new system. You have 30 days following installation of VTScada before you must deactivate the license on the old computer and activate on the new. You are advised to use that time for testing the new system.
A license must be deactivated on one computer before it can be activated on another. To help avoid difficulties, the uninstall program will not proceed until you deactivate the copy of VTScada you are attempting to uninstall.
Start the deactivation process using the button provided in the License Management dialog. Deactivation can be done using the Internet, a URL, or by phone, using a process similar to activation. Deactivation via the Internet or by URL is allowed only a set number of times. Beyond that number, you must deactivate via phone.
You must complete the entire process as described in the Deactivation dialog and according to the method you have chosen, before you can activate the license on a new computer.
Uninstall
Your VTScada installation includes a wizard that can assist you in uninstalling the entire VTScada suite, or selected VTScada components. Uninstalling VTScada is a simple, two-step process that removes all components of the VTScada software from your workstation. The uninstall process does not affect any VTScada applications you've created. These applications and their resources will remain untouched.
To completely uninstall VTScada from your system.
- Ensure that VTScada is not running.
- Navigate to the VTScada installation directory below C:\Program Files\Trihedral\.
- Locate the Uninstall.exe file and run it.
- Ensure that the Automatic radio button is selected.
- Click the Next button. The Perform Uninstall dialog opens.
- Click the Finish button. The Uninstall Wizard removes all VTScada components from your workstation.
Although the Uninstall Wizard removes all VTScada components from your workstation, it leaves any applications you have created and their data untouched. These applications can be imported into other installations of VTScada.
