Glenn Wadden and Barry Baker Win EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Information Technology Category

At a black-tie ceremony in Moncton, New Brunswick, on October 5th, Trihedral President, Glenn Wadden, and Vice President, Barry Baker, were jointly awarded Entrepreneur of the Year in the Information Technology category for the Atlantic Region. Each year, Ernst & Young recognizes individuals who represent the spirit of entrepreneurship in regions across Canada. The winners were chosen from 32 regional finalists in 8 categories.

“We are really honoured to be among so many great companies,” says Baker. “This is the result of the energy and hard work of everyone at Trihedral. After rushing here from exhibiting at the Water Environment Federation Annual Conference in Chicago, we were literally speechless.” Nonetheless, Wadden had this to say to the crowd of 400, “Entrepreneurs in Atlantic Canada can compete on the world stage, and I’ve seen it here tonight.”

Based in Bedford, Nova Scotia, Trihedral is the manufacturer of VTScada Monitoring and Control Software used around the world in industries including water and wastewater, oil and gas, power generation, aviation, marine, and manufacturing. In 2015 and 2017, VTScada was recognized by the Control Engineering Magazine Engineers’ Choice Awards in the HMI category.  The company has repeatedly been named to the Atlantic Canada’s Top Employer list.
